Rawbank offers a complete range of insurance products for businesses and individuals thanks to two partner entities, Rawsur and Rawsur Life, whose products are distributed by the bank.
A lot remains to be done to develop bancassurance in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Rawbank is convinced that it can meet the challenge. Rawbank teams are working closely with Rawsur to develop the best supply of products to meet the population’s needs and expectations.
Rawbank teams mobilised in the DRC
Rawbank’s commercial teams across the country are a valuable asset as their findings on the ground allow the bank and its departments to constantly improve their products, to anticipate the potential needs of clients, and to better advise and serve them.
For the moment, five pilot Rawbank branches have been put in place in Kinshasa. These offer a wide range of car, travel, home and personal accident insurance policies for the local population.

Rawbank a pour objectif d?offrir à ses clients des produits correspondant à toutes leurs attentes, c?est pour cela que deux produits d’assurance vie sont également proposés.

Rawbank’s bancassurance products are constantly evolving
Rawbank, in collaboration with Rawsur and Rawsur Life, is committed to continuing to innovate and expand its supply of insurance products to meet the evolving needs of the Congolese population. As the DRC’s leading bank, Rawbank is proud to have contributed to the development of bancassurance and to be providing clients with financial security solutions.
Towards a wider culture of insurance in the DRC
The insurance culture can still be extended in the DRC. As a Congolese bank, Rawbank has made it a mission to contribute to the development of local economies by supporting investment and savings across the country.
The insurance penetration rate in the DRC has long stayed at a very low level (0.97% in 2018) but may be set to increase after recent market liberalization. Rawbank has chosen to widen its product range to meet the maximum number of needs.
The bank is offering a package for $5 a month aimed at Congo’s middle class. There are also products designed for civil servants, for young savers with an Academia account, and for Illicocash users aged from 16 to 25.
These targeted offers will be extended in the near future as we aim to serve the population in all its diversity.
