RAWBANK publishes today its 2019 Annual Report with stable results, reflecting its ambition to satisfy its customers and to actively participate in the financing of the economy as well as in the bancarization of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Throughout 2019, RAWBANK has notably committed to anticipating market demands by optimizing the deployment of its branches and developing the range of services offered to its customers.
By the end of the 2019 financial year, Rawbank's total assets reached US$2.1 billion (3,583 billion Congolese francs), an increase of 27% compared to 2018. Rawbank also saw its deposits increase by 29% to US$1.5 billion. Following this increase, the Bank has cautiously evolved its credit offer, so as to maintain a healthy balance between its deposits and credits, around 51%. As a result, its disbursable loans increased by 16% to US$773.2 million.
As the leading bank in the DRC, RAWBANK has continued to increase its proximity to its customers through the development of its territorial network and the opening of branches throughout the country. In order to serve all those - companies and individuals - who contribute to the modernization of the Congolese economy, the bank has initiated a process of regionalization of activities aimed at giving its branches more autonomy and decision-making capacities.
In 2019, RAWBANK has finally bet heavily on the development of its digital offer to facilitate access to its services and accelerate financial inclusion in DRC. The 2019 financial year marked major internal digitalization work as well as the launch of Optimus, a new digital tool for players in the mining sector
