Kinshasa, February 26, 2021 - Resolutely committed to the sustainable development of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rawbank is a partner of the Mopepe ("air" in Lingala) initiative, the first electric and solar powered mobility service in Central Africa.
A finalist in the international start-up competition "Get In The Ring" in 2016, Mopepe was born in 2020 from the desire to support sustainable development in the Democratic Republic of Congo. For the launch of the initiative, ten electric vehicles will be available for rent through the Mopepe app and through a network of charging stations for electric vehicles installed in Kinshasa called Mopepe solution REFILL.
Yacine Fylla, CEO of Mopepe explains, "Mopepe is a solution to the environmental challenge facing the DRC. Our goal is to protect future generations through innovative ecological solutions accessible to all populations.
