What is a bank card and what are its advantages?
A bank card is the means of payment attached to a current account (individual or joint account). It allows you to make purchases in shops or online and to withdraw money from ATMs or from bank tellers.
Many types of bank cards exist:
- A debit card allows you to withdraw money from your bank's ATMs;
- An immediate debit card applies the transaction to the associated current account as soon as the bank is aware of the withdrawal or payment;
- A deferred debit card carries forward all payments for the month and is debited on the last day of the month;
A credit card is backed by an overdraft authorization, defined in advance.
