Christian Kamanzi has a degree in applied economics and accounting and is a graduate of FUCAM in Mons (Belgium). Christian Kamanzi acquired his first professional experience as a junior auditor at DRT-Cabinet Michel Vaes in Brussels (now Deloitte & Touche). In 1993, he moved to Kinshasa where he was assistant treasurer at CitibankIn 1996, he became vice-president in charge of operations and sales at the Banque de Commerce et de Développement in Kinshasa. In 2002, he returned to Citibank where he was appointed Director of Treasury until 2004, when he became General Manager of the Union des Banques Congolaises.
In 2007, he joined RAWBANK as director and member of the Management Committee. In 2013, he was appointed to head the Operations and Security Department. He held the position of Secretary General in April 2018 until his appointment as Deputy Managing Director in charge of Administration and Risk since April 2019.
Simultaneously, he chairs the Board of Directors of Interswitch, the EIG in charge of coordinating the Multipay Interbank Project.
