For over 30 years, Euromoney has recognized banks and bankers that have distinguished themselves through their innovation, commitment, or results. Launching an awards program that remains globally recognized in the industry today, the Euromoney Awards for Excellence bring together banking industry leaders, government officials, business leaders, and prominent members of civil society.

During this ceremony, Rawbank was awarded the DRC’s Best Bank” and “DRC’s Best Bank for ESG” awards for its banking results and its commitment to sustainable development in the DRC. Committed to structuring and financing carbon-neutral projects, Rawbank has invested $20 million in renewable energy and forest ecosystem preservation projects, achieving a net profit of $191,475,000 (+135% compared to 2022).

Furthermore, since 2022, Rawbank has been working on the issue of providing drinking water to rural populations across the DRC. The goal of this initiative is to drill at least 100 wells by 2025. Forty wells are already in operation, generating a positive impact on more than 3,300 people. This initiative notably improves hygiene conditions for the population (80% report washing their bodies more frequently since the borehole was drilled) while also improving the beneficiaries’ income potential (41% report that access to boreholes helps them in their professional activities).
