Rawbank supports the African Union in celebrating Africa Day

On the occasion of the 59th anniversary of Africa Day, the group of African ambassadors accredited to the DRC commemorated the day with a rather revealing theme: “Strengthening Resilience in Nutrition and Food Security on the African Continent.”

The day was celebrated alongside students from the Mosolo/Mic School in the commune of N’sele, supporting 300 students in setting up the school canteen project.

Present at this ceremony, Rawbank, represented by its Corporate Affairs Director, Jok Oga UKELO, presented a large batch of donations consisting of t-shirts, caps, Schoolap Tab, the first Congolese school tablet with built-in lessons, and the Sambolé magazine from publisher Jean-Paul Bindo, to ensure adequate education in good conditions. Conditions.

A happy ending for the Deputy Minister of Primary, Secondary, and Technical Education, Aminata NAMASIA, as well as the leaders of these young people, who were quick to praise the valuable contribution of this African delegation in combating malnutrition, a key obstacle to early learning.

After this donation, it was time to visit the classrooms where, in a friendly atmosphere, these children shared a small meal, a demonstration of solidarity and shared values ​​that characterize Africans.

Far from being over, this ambassadors’ visit resulted in significant support for the African Women’s Financial Mutual, even strengthening its women’s empowerment activities.

The setting chosen was the Kenyan Embassy, ​​a destination where all the African Union member states took turns highlighting African food and music to commemorate Africa Day.
