RAWBANK supports the Vision Congo collective for the visit to the Kalembe Lembe old people’s home

Rawbank Mandela Day

On the occasion of Nelson Mandela International Day 2022, celebrated on July 18, RAWBANK supported the non-profit organization Collectif Vision Congo with a visit to the Kalembe Lembe old people’s home in the commune of Lingwala. This visit was attended by the collective’s executives, the center’s staff, including its manager, and the Minister of Culture, who welcomed the initiative of the Congo Vision collective.

As a sponsor of the visit, the bank, through its delegation composed of Sabrina Kibeti Atek, Internal Communications Manager, and Belinda Kanku, UPC branch manager, symbolically handed over bags containing masks, polo shirts, disinfectants, and other items to the elderly people abandoned to their sad fate, who expressed their gratitude.

In turn, the president of this association, Malicka MUKUBU, stepped up to call on the Congolese population to show concern for these elderly people.

For the manager of this center, Cécile Kombo BONGONGO, the elderly, 27 in total, are classified as people who have been forgotten.

Determined to carry out the vision advocated by the Head of State, this organization is planning the rehabilitation of the Elite School in Camp Luka, in the commune of Kintambo, the construction of a digital classroom, and training on women’s autonomy.
