Its director, Clarisse MUVUBA, indicated that this economic-focused edition aims to set a tone of renewal in this profession by offering Congolese film producers opportunities in a convivial atmosphere. This justifies the choice of this year’s theme:
“The Industrialization of Congolese Cinema,” a vision supported by its partner, Rawbank.
This provided the opportunity for the delegate of the Minister of Culture, Art, and Heritage of the DRC to recall the Head of State’s vision to restore the cinema to its former glory in the DRC.
This series of film screenings opened with the film “Ima,” a feature film by French director Nils Tavernier, starring French singer Dadju and French filmmaker Karidja Touré. A happy ending for Chantal Yelu Mulop, Special Advisor to the Head of State on Youth, Gender, and Violence against Women, who sent a message of hope to all Congolese filmmakers through the creation of major production companies to enable them to express their talent.
Note that this support from Rawbank is part of its Lady’s First program, which aims to strengthen the capacities of women entrepreneurs.
