RAWBANK, a commercial bank close to the Congolese population, has been socially engaged since its inception through various initiatives in multiple sectors such as education, health, culture, entrepreneurship, etc. It recently renovated two public buildings for the benefit of local populations in the cities of Mbuji-Mayi and Beni. These are the Kansele General Hospital and the Christian Bilingual University of Congo (UCBC). This gesture reaffirms the bank’s commitment to vulnerable people and also demonstrates its values and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
It also provides significant support to local initiatives and the renovation of public buildings. It is within this framework that it financed the renovation of the Kansele General Hospital in Mbuji-Mayi and the Christian Bilingual University of Congo (UCBC) building in Beni.
For Kansele General Hospital, it is a state-owned hospital, entrusted to the Catholic Church, and generally receives patients in precarious situations. It provides basic services such as gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, and internal medicine.
RAWBANK’s financial support has improved the hospitalization facilities to improve patients’ living conditions and save more lives.
As for the Christian Bilingual University of Congo (UCBC), the construction work is underway on the offices housing the academic and administrative secretariats to provide them with an ideal environment for the work and training of Congolese youth.
In addition, the RAWJI Foundation, which works alongside RAWBANK to promote the emergence of Congolese youth and ensure better future leadership for the country, will award scholarships to the best students at UCBC.
“This act has allowed us to understand how change is always possible, given how a warehouse is transformed into a beautiful space that will serve as a good framework in pursuing CI-UCBC’s vision, which is to be transformed for the sake of transformation.
Thanks to your support, human lives will be transformed to be useful to the republic and to humanity,” emphasized the University’s Rector, Mr. Honoré B. Kwany, PhD.
Thus, year after year, the bank joins forces with hundreds of local initiatives and associations to find solutions to the multiple challenges facing Congolese society.
Let’s build a great and strong Congo together.
