The “Back to School with Rawbank” campaign is a social initiative of the bank that aims to provide children in precarious situations with the necessary assistance to ensure their return to school. It involves the distribution of school kits and a symbolic donation to help disadvantaged children.
For the 2021-2022 school year, Rawbank distinguished itself with social actions that left an indelible mark in Kongo Central. School kits and symbolic donations were distributed to three orphanages in Matadi, the capital of Kongo Central province.
These are the Maman LUFUMA orphanage, the Save Abandoned Children orphanage, and the Five Star Orphanage in Boko I.
Satisfied with these gestures, these beneficiary children and their caregivers thanked the bank for this commendable initiative.
As a banking institution in the DRC, Rawbank is committed to meeting the educational needs of the most vulnerable Congolese people and is strengthening its commitment through this campaign.
As part of its back-to-school campaign with Rawbank 2021-2022, the bank supported young mothers at the Center for the Empowerment and Social Reintegration of Young Mothers by providing them with school kits, loincloths, a t-shirt, and a symbolic envelope to pay their children’s school fees.
CAERSEM, the Center for the Empowerment and Social Reintegration of Young Mothers, works to promote young mothers and facilitate their empowerment through various training courses such as tailoring, beauty, literacy, hospitality, and computer science. This gesture of encouragement by Rawbank was witnessed by the mayor of Kintambo, who welcomed the initiative and thanked the bank, because beyond financial transactions, Rawbank restores hope and smiles to future generations.
