After a brief, constructive discussion with Mr. Augustin Mankesi Bikinda, Mayor of the municipality, RAWBANK proceeded to distribute masks and hydroalcoholic gels to the residents of this municipality in order to stop the Covid-19 pandemic that is paralyzing the entire world.
Before handing out these donations, Rawbank emphasized awareness and made them aware of the need to strictly adhere to barrier gestures and hygiene measures.
“We are aware that not all families have the financial means to afford the purchase of masks as recommended by the WHO, which is why RAWBANK has thought of the population of Selembao, because the pandemic is very real and we must protect ourselves and others,” emphasized the bank representative during her speech.
“This is a gesture that we welcome and we thank RAWBANK, a bank close to the Congolese population, for this action which strengthens preventive measures in our commune,” said the Mayor of the commune of Selembao.
Shortly after this action, the bank went to the Kitokimosi referral health center, still in the same commune, to help the sick in financial insolvency situation. RAWBANK has settled the bills of several young mothers who have now returned home.

The Selembao commune was created in 1968 by Mayor Konde and currently has more than 700,000 inhabitants. spread across 18 different neighborhoods.
