Paul CARDOEN

With extensive experience in the financial services sector across Europe, Africa, Asia and the United States, Paul CARDOEN is currently CEO of the agro-industrial group SIAT ,active in the cultivation and sale of vegetable oils and rubber in Africa, director of Banque Atlantique, an African banking group and director at Banque Atlantique, an African banking group and administrator of RAWBANK .

He has served on various boards of financial institutions in Ghana, Turkey, and the United Kingdom. He has also chaired several risk, audit, and compensation committees. His specialty is to act as a catalyst for strategic and digital transformation in growth, acquisition or restructuring situations. He has been certified by the European Institute of Business Administration (INSEAD) after successfully completing the Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption program.Strategy in the age of digital disruption”.

Olivier NOUR NOEL

Olivier Noel holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of London and a degree in Corporate Governance from l’INSEAD He was successively an Emerging Markets Economist at Standard & Poor’s and a senior banker in the Corporate Banking Department of ING Bank before joining the African investment banking division of Banque Belgolaise, as Regional Director for West Africa based in Abidjan.

He coordinated the infrastructure and capital markets investments for Central Africa of the International Finance Corporation ( World Bank Group ) after having been responsible for the telecommunications, media and new technologies financing activities within the IFC’s Africa department. He also headed the French branch of First Bank Nigeria, one of the top ten banking groups in Africa, before founding the financial advisory firm Mokka Capital as Managing Partner. He is also an independent director of a pan-African financial institution and RAWBANK .

Benjamin NZAILU

Benjamin Nzailu is a certified public accountant in the DRC. After earning a degree in Financial Management from the University of Kinshasa, he joined one of the Big 4 audit firms, from which he retired as a partner. He has led several assignments in the banking sector. He currently pursues a limited role in auditing and consulting. He holds professional certifications in Governance, Risk, and Compliance. He also holds a certificate in Strategy from HEC Paris.

He has been an independent director at RAWBANK since July 2019.

Zain RAWJI

Zain Rawji holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Economics fromthe University of Nothingam in the United Kingdom. Zain Rawji He started his professional career in 2008 at INVESTEC BANK where he held the position of sports finance analyst. He then joined the Swiss bank CREDIT AGRICOLE between 2012 and 2013 as a member of the trade finance department. In 2013 he returned to Kinshasa and joined RAWBANK where he put his rich banking experience to good use within the Credit Committee, first as a member, then as vice president and, since April 2020, as president.

Zain RAWJI was appointed to the Board of Directors of this bank in April 2018, and was then appointed member of the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, one of the five specialized committees of the deliberative body of this bank set up in 2019. At the same time, he is a director in RAWSUR SA and RAWSUR LIFE SA, two insurance companies of the RAWJI Group operating in the DRC since 2017.

Guy SAUVANET

Guy Sauvanet is a graduate of HEC Paris and holds a DECS. He started his career as an auditor in a major French banking group. From 1986 to 2015 he worked as a General Manager for commercial banks in various French- and English-speaking African countries.

He joined the Board of Directors of RAWBANK in 2016 as an independent director. He is also a director of a guarantee fund and a leasing company.

Thierry TAEYMANS

Thierry Taeymans  is a sales engineer graduated from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce St Louis in Brussels. His banking experience began in 1982 at the Belgolaise bank in Brussels, where he worked in various positions within the credit department. He carried out several missions in Africa and joined the Banque Commerciale Zaïroise (BCZ, now BCDC) in 1994. He returned to Brussels in 1999. BCDC). Retour à Bruxelles en 1999.

In 2001, Mazhar Rawji called him to participate in the creation of RAWBANK of which he became managing director. Vice-president of the Congolese Association of Banks in 2008, Thierry Taeymans is secretary of the Belgian-Congolese Chamber of Commerce and administrator of the Federation of Enterprises of Congo (FEC).

Leny ILONDO

An economist by training, Mr. Leny ILONDO graduated from Paris II University with a postgraduate degree in Money, Banking and Finance. Since 2024, he has brought all his experience to the Board of Directors of Rawbank, enriched by a notable career at the Central Bank of Congo where he held the position of Director before retiring. His expertise also extends to various sectors such as Insurance, Cement and Services.

Guy-André BWEYASA WA NSAMU

Holder of a degree in Economic and Social Law from the University of Kinshasa, Mr. Guy-André BWEYASA WA NSAMU has nearly 40 years of experience in the banking sector, acquired mainly within the former BCDC where he worked both in branches and at the head office. In 2024, he joined the Board of Directors of Rawbank as an Independent Director, bringing with him valuable and in-depth expertise.
