RAWBANK, Schoolap’s partner for the digitalization of education in the DRC

RAWBANK, a banking institution in the DRC, is proud to be a partner of Schoolap, from its first steps as a startup to the launch of its vast education digitalization campaign throughout the DRC. It is in this context that the bank participated in the launch ceremony of the “Urban School WIFI” project, which aims to provide schools with an efficient digital infrastructure to provide permanent access to the internet to promote the digitalization of education. This action is part of the bank’s commitment to promoting and supporting local initiatives and innovations.

RAWBANK, the official sponsor of Schoolap, participated in the launch ceremony of the “Urban School Wi-Fi” campaign, which took place on Saturday, June 13, 2020, in Kinshasa. With special guests including the city’s governor, H.E. Mr. Gentiny Ngobila, and representatives from the Ministries of Education and Industry, it was an opportunity for Schoolap to present this project to state authorities and thank its various partners, including RAWBANK.

“Making Congolese digital technology a lever for integration, good governance, economic growth, and social progress” is the vision of the Head of State, which is being realized today by the Governor of Kinshasa through the launch of the first urban school Wi-Fi networks to connect 50 schools. This initiative by City Hall, supported by Schoolap, marks the beginning of a new digital era in the education sector in the DRC.

“We are honored to launch this project initiated by the Governorate of Kinshasa. With RAWBANK as our official partner, we had already ordered Schoolap digital tablets, which will provide logistical support for this nationwide project. We encourage school leaders at the national level to take ownership of this initiative, which is in line with the vision of the Head of State,” emphasized Pascal Kanik, co-founder and CEO of Schoolap.

Thus, RAWBANK, a local bank, has committed to supporting Schoolap, this Congolese technology company, in the digital transformation of the education system and to fostering the emergence of talented and innovative Congolese people in all promising sectors.
