Rawbank's new ambition

Beyond a bank, the future starts here

Congo needs more than a bank

Our world is changing at lightning speed—innovation, technology, youth aspirations, climate challenges, shifting economies. Everything is evolving, accelerating. Amid this whirlwind, one thing remains constant: the need for trust, for strong, human, and close institutions.

For 23 years, Rawbank has grown with a deep conviction: we’re not just here to manage money. We’re here to support, to listen, to build. We’re here to transform.

In 2024, we took a moment to reflect. We asked ourselves: who do we want to be for the Congolese people, for Africa, for tomorrow? From that reflection came a new chapter in our journey.

Reflection and revelation: A new chapter

Today, with pride, humility, and excitement, we unveil
our new brand identity.

A logo, yes—but more importantly, a renewed promise:

To go even further. To always be “beyond a bank.”

This new logo symbolizes a new era: resilient, bold, and connected. It is the bridge between our legacy and our ambition.

Shaping tomorrow with purpose

This rebranding reflects a stronger, clearer strategic vision:

Digital transformation

Accelerating our digital transformation so that every Congolese citizen, wherever they are, has access to tailored financial services

Inclusive growth

Strengthening our commitment to a greener, more inclusive, and fair economy

Empowering talent

Showcasing Congolese talent, supporting women, entrepreneurs, and SMEs that are building the country’s future

Rooted in service

Innovating without ever losing what makes us strong: proximity, reliability, and a passion for service.

A new chapter, Written together

We are entering a new chapter—and we want to write it with you.
Because Rawbank doesn’t belong to a few—it belongs to the merchants and startups of Kinshasa, the women entrepreneurs of Goma, the families of Bukavu. It is the mirror of a forward-moving Congo.
Our identity is changing, but our mission remains: To serve Congo.

We are proud to unveil this new chapter of Rawbank—a chapter that will help countless individuals in Congo and beyond pursue their dreams.

RAWBANK
A Bank Born from Congo. To Shape the Future.

In 2002, in a country that had to be rebuilt from the ground up, Rawbank emerged with a powerful and simple ambition: to offer the Congolese people a bank that reflects who they are. A bank capable of supporting their daily lives, their hopes, their struggles, and their dreams. At a time when others hesitated, Rawbank chose to innovate. To move forward. To extend a hand where everything seemed stuck. To believe where others doubted. It was born from Rawji Group’s will to take part in the country’s economic recovery and its long-term development. Since then, Rawbank has never stopped being more than a bank. It has built bridges between Congolese aspirations and achievements. In a complex environment, it has chosen boldness, proximity, and service—no shortcuts, no certainties, only one firm belief: Congo deserves a strong, visionary, and committed bank. In less than fifteen years, Rawbank became the first bank in the country to surpass $1 billion in total assets. In 2018, it inaugurated ATRIUM—its iconic headquarters in Kinshasa—a symbol of modernity, deep roots, and future projection. And the journey continues, as the bank keeps growing and playing a pivotal role in the Congolese economy.

A Clear Mission,
A Deep Commitment

In 23 years, Rawbank has gone from an emerging institution to a national benchmark. But its story isn’t only about market share or financials—it lives in the people.
It lives in the bustling markets where merchants use its services to grow their businesses. In the women entrepreneurs turning their ideas into solid companies through Lady’s First. In the young people launching startups with Rawbank as a partner. In rural families accessing financial services for the first time through Illico Cash.
Rawbank is the story of a bank that chose to speed up Congo’s momentum. One that never forgot why it was created. One that remains loyal to its core mission: Serving Congo.

A Bank Built on Strong Values

Rawbank has become a pillar of Congo’s financial sector because it is grounded in solid values: Rawbank turns these values into action—and that’s what makes the difference.

Innovation

with pioneering products like Illico Cash and Lady First.

Proximity

because lasting change requires listening and presence;

Social responsibility

seen in every ESG initiative and local community program.

A New Brand Identity to Support Your Ambitions

The economic and financial landscape is evolving fast. Digitalization is redefining services and expectations, while growing competition from traditional and non-traditional players raises the bar.
In this shifting environment, customers demand faster, more transparent, more accessible services that meet global standards.

Evolving with purpose: A Bold New Chapter

Rawbank is not standing still. We’re moving forward with a new identity—aware that to remain useful, relevant, and high-performing, reinvention is key. This transformation does not mean letting go of what makes us strong. On the contrary—we remain deeply rooted in our local presence, our closeness to customers, and our strategic role in the national economy. But we know that’s no longer enough. To keep building Congo’s future, we must go further, faster—for even greater impact.

A Symbol of Transformation

Our new logo is more than an aesthetic update. It reflects a vision, an ambition, a movement. It tells the story of who we are, where we come from, and where we’re heading.
It features two elements: The “Rawbank” wordmark—anchored, clear, and assertive. A powerful symbol inspired by the Congolese leopard, an iconic creature known for strength, agility, speed, and resilience.
The stylized yellow claws symbolize what has defined us for over two decades:

Yellow evokes hope, energy, and prosperity. It reflects the optimism that drives us—the unshakable belief in Congo’s potential and in its people’s ability to build a better future.

RAWBANK
But this new identity goes beyond a logo

It is part of a broader transformation. A strategic repositioning that brings us even closer to our clients, raises our standards, sharpens our message, and enhances our agility. This new visual identity will be reflected across all touchpoints—from branches to digital platforms—offering a unified, seamless, and modern experience. One designed for every client, every need, every ambition. Ultimately, this identity doesn’t belong to us alone. It belongs to those who love Congo. It is made for them for all who see in Rawbank more than just a bank. Our logo evolves. Our vision expands. Our mission grows stronger. With this new identity, Rawbank enters a new era with boldness, humility, and confidence.

Looking to the Future Together: A Governance Rooted in Congo, Focused on Africa

For 23 years, Rawbank has been built in the heart of Congo with a clear belief: to create a reference bank, you must invest first in Congolese human capital.

Thanks to the intelligence, commitment, and resilience of its local talents, Rawbank has become the country’s leading commercial bank—a key player in the economy and a model of innovation and closeness.

Without losing sight of its roots, Rawbank is projecting itself into the pan-African space, aiming to contribute to a more integrated, inclusive, and ambitious financial ecosystem for the continent.

Step by Step Toward a Shared Future

This ambition is built step by step—through targeted partnerships, knowledge sharing, openness, and the ability to develop financial solutions adapted to Africa’s diverse realities.
To Rawbank, becoming a continent-wide bank means giving Africa a financial institution born in Central Africa, driven by its values, powered by its people, and ready to meet the challenges of a shared future.
