The 6th edition of Makutano, the first major business networking event on the African continent and the first pan-African business forum, aims to create African champions in all promising sectors. Several influential personalities from strategic sectors (mining, financial, economic, and political) met to discuss the importance of resilience, to value dynamism over stagnation, and to adopt a spirit of active voluntarism. These actions are necessary for Africa's economic development in this time of pandemic.

Rawbank Rawbank has proudly taken on the role of sponsor of the Makutano and is paying special attention to this edition, which focuses on the role of the entrepreneur in times of COVID-19. Nicole Sulu, founder of the network says, « Le temps est venu de   “The time has come to look at Africa not out of time but in time. We must give Africa the opportunity to take its place in the concert of nations. We must give African women and our youth what it takes to make a difference.”

For the entrepreneurs present at this panel, it is also an opportunity to present innovative projects in order to attract donors and investors. Financial inclusion is a key element of the post-Covid-19 recovery. John Nsana Kanyoni, VP of the DRC Chamber of Mines, explains that this event is an opportunity to present innovative projects, including infrastructure projects, to a strategic audience.

For Rawbank, the great Makutano is an opportunity to find champion entrepreneurs in all sectors working for the development of the Democratic Republic of Congo. Rawbank is actively involved in supporting SME leaders. In recent months, the resilience of entrepreneurs has emerged as a vital element in the emergence of a great and strong Congo.
